2009 - 2010
Regional Select Program
The
program is considered a post season extension with teams formed with the
approval of the Select Committee. It is only available for U10 and above
and requires that players must have played in 50% of their regular season
games. Players are invited by the approved coaches to play and are
typically more technically talented players. The Select leagues and
tournaments are very competitive.
Spring
Select Teams Formation Complete:
Offer
letters have been sent to all Select players in the U10 through U14
Divisions and many teams have started practicing.
Christmas
Classic Tournament News (Jan 1, 2010):
The U14
Select Teams swept through the 2009 West Torrance Christmas Classic
tournament earning silverware.

U14
Girls won through to the group and quarter final round. The girls earned
their silverware as semi-finalists.

U14
Boys built on their success in the Turkey Tournament to earn the first
placed seed in the group stages, conceding one goal. They went on to win
their semi-final match and earned a runner-up trophy in the final game.

the Select Approval process, including conducting coach candidate
observations and acts as an advocate for the program. Provides tournament
information, coordinates tournament roster signatures, regional checks and is
the primary contact with Tournament Directors.
